6:00 8:30 p.m.
Join us in The Rookery for the grand kick-off to this year’s festival! We’ll begin the festivities at 6:00 p.m. with an exciting Raptor Show conducted by the Georgia Southern University’s Center for Wildlife Education and Lamar Q. Ball Jr. Raptor Center.
At 7:30 p.m., effervescent E.J Williams will give us an update on the coast and our wildlife. Her lively to the point talk will focus on the unique bird resources of the Georgia Coast and responsibilities associated with our opportunities to enjoy these resources - how do we interact with these resources such that both our human and natural resources are healthy and sustainable into the future . This is an inspiring talk is in conjunction with a slide-show fun highlighting some of the coast’s spectacular wildlife and habitat.
The Rookery will be open throughout the evening, giving guests a chance to visit with the many fine exhibitors we have participating this year, some of which include, Wild Birds Unlimited, Zeiss, Brunton, Swarovski, B & H Photo/Video, wildlife artists Lydia C. Thompson, Deb Zaremba, and Steve Kyles, tour groups, the Science in Georgia exhibit, conservation groups and much, much more!
Cash bar will be available from 5 – 8:30, as well as light hors d’oeuvres served at 6:45.
