EXHIBITOR INFORMATION
Now in its fifth year, Georgia’s Colonial Coast Birding & Nature Festival will feature an exciting weekend of field trips, seminars and evening programs that will attract folks from all over the southeast, including Atlanta, Charleston, and Jacksonville, as well as Savannah. This year we are excited to add a Saturday training session for young birders who would like to learn more about coastal birds. The goal is to encourage and help young people who have a special interest in science, art and the outdoors.
The festival headquarters are on beautiful Jekyll Island, Georgia. This barrier island is midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida and is connected to the mainland by a six-mile, marsh-hemmed causeway.
The festival’s exhibit area is called “The Rookery” and will be located within the Jekyll Island Convention Center’s Atlantic Hall, a wonderful five-sided room with 15,000 square feet of space looking out over the Atlantic Ocean. The Rookery will be open to the general public during business hours, and because it is a separate hall, it can be locked and secured after hours. There will be a hospitality area with an ongoing PowerPoint presentation of the wonderful places along our natural coast that this festival showcases. All field trips, seminars and Friday evening program will begin and end in the lobby area between Atlantic and Beachside Halls, which will insure good traffic in and around the exhibits.
Our only requirement is that exhibitors have a birding and/or nature orientation, for example fine wildlife artists and craftspeople, conservation organizations, and businesses that cater to birding, wildlife and nature enthusiasts. If you are interested in reserving a space in The Rookery, please fill out the Exhibitor Registration Form and return it to the address below no later than September 26, 2008. Spaces are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
If you will have special needs for your space such as additional tables, chairs or electrical service, you will also need to fill out the Jekyll Island Convention Center’s Exhibitor Order Form and mail it directly to them. For more information for exhibitors view this.
We hope you will join us in making the 2008 Georgia’s Colonial Coast Birding & Nature Festival a huge success!
