Advance registration
for the 2009 Colonial Coast Birding & Nature Festival will begin on
Saturday, August 29 at 10:00 A.M. and end on Monday, September 25 at
5:00 P.M. Registration can be done either on-line or by mailing in the
registration form inside this booklet.
ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Your
chance of getting on more popular field trips is greatly increased if
you register early and on-line. Some field trips may sell out in a
matter of minutes once advance registration starts. Also, keep in mind
that it is the nature of the Internet for web sites that are
experiencing heavy traffic to malfunction. If you experience difficulty
while navigating the registration site, or cannot get on it at all,
please be patient and keep trying. We also ask that you please not call
the festival line if you’re having this problem as there is nothing
anyone will be able to do to help. The quickest way to get your
registration completed is to just keep trying.
ON-LINE REGISTRATION: Beginning at 10:00
A.M. on August 29, 2009, log onto www.coastalgeorgiabirding.org,
click on “Registration”, and follow the instructions. Once you’ve
completed the on-line registration process, print out a copy of your
invoice and mail it, along with a check or money order for the total
registration cost, made payable to Coastal Georgia Audubon Society, to
the address below. CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Payment must be
received within three weeks of the date that you register, but no later
than September 29th. If no payment is received within this timeframe,
festival staff
reserves the right to cancel registrations. You will receive
confirmation of your registration via email when completed.
Note that registering as a group does not
ensure that everyone in the group will be automatically enrolled in the
same field trip or trips. The only advantage to group registration is
that only one check is required. MAIL-IN REGISTRATION (not recommended
if registering for popular field trips – see box above): Complete the
enclosed registration form and mail it and a check or money order for
the total registration cost, made payable to Coastal Georgia Audubon
Society, to the address below:
Registration CCBN Festival

901 Downing Musgrove Causeway
Jekyll Island, GA 31527
Once your mail-in registration is received and processed, we will send
you a written confirmation. If any of your first choice selections are
full, we will automatically register you for the second choice
selections you made on your registration form. If there is a difference
in the cost of any second choice selections (refunds or additional fees
due the festival), this will be taken care of when you check-in at the
festival.
** IMPORTANT **
** Mail-in Registrants: A separate registration form must be
filled out for each individual registering for the festival. Forms
received with more than one person listed will be returned and not
processed. If you wish to be registered with another person or persons,
each person in your group needs to fill out his or her own registration
form and then send them attached together, in the same envelope. One
check or money order may be used to pay for individuals registering
together. Note: This does not ensure that everyone in the group will be
automatically enrolled in the same field trip or trips.
CHECK-IN
Upon arrival at the festival (and before your first registered field
trip or seminar), all pre-registered attendees will need to check in at
the registration desk located inside the Jekyll Island Convention
Center. Here you will receive a commemorative tote-bag containing
tickets to all of your registered events, maps to field trip locations
and various other goodies. Please contact the Jekyll Island Welcome
Center at 1-877-4JEKYLL if there are extenuating circumstances that
will keep you from checking-in, and you need to make other arrangements
to receive your tickets.
